If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, THEN I WILL HEAR FROM HEAVEN, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV)
Have you heard the saying, “My word is my bond”? I often have, but I do not know many people who live up to that saying. However, you can take that saying to the bank regarding God. He does what He says He will do. He never lies.
God told Abraham that he would be the Father of many nations when many, even him, did not think he could produce one heir. We still need to find out how many people are and will be considered sons of Abraham. He promised King David that one of his descendants would sit on the throne of Israel forever, and Jesus, the Lion of Judah, sits on it at this very moment.
John the Baptist was Elizabeth and Zachariah’s promise, and Mary saw the child she raised become her Savior, just as God promised her. The apostle John died of old age just as Jesus told him despite many attempts to kill him, and every promise He made to Paul came true.
Friends, this week, I need to remind you that your God, the one you pray to, whose face you seek, has promised to hear you. That means that every time you pray, He is listening. When you remind Him of His promises, you cause heaven to move on your behalf.
My friend, the God that created the universe, listens to you. Make your request known to Him. Do not be afraid to ask God to bless you big. His resources have no limits, and His love for you is endless. It does not matter what you need this week. Dare to believe that your Heavenly Father is ready to fulfill His promises to you. Trust Him. Take His word to the bank!
